Please take a moment to introduce yourself and your club. Let us know who you are as a person and a chess player and what your club is all about. Please remember to include the club link but NOT a join link.

Admin guides are not rules that you must follow in your own club. They are examples that you can adopt in full or in part if you find them useful. Feel free to copy them and share them elsewhere, but if you borrow heavily from someone else's work it would be polite to credit them. Please DO the following: Comment on the games, giving suggested moves or strategies. Giving your analysis and getting feedback from stronger players is a great way to learn. And you might help us find the best move; teamwork is very important. Feel free to question stronger players; it's a great way to learn, and you might pick up on something they missed. We recently won a game because I spotted a tactic that had been missed by people rated several hundred points above me. I've also suggested moves and had someone explain why it was a very bad idea. Wait to vote until the last 24 hours or so; this gives time for people to comment with their analysis of the position. The more people we have looking at a position, the better our chances of coming up with the best move. The later you vote, the more comments you can see and take into account as you decide what move to vote for. If we are coming up to the deadline and we still have no consensus on the best move, feel free to post on the TUTC main page with a link to the game asking for input. I like to go to the main vote chess page (under the Play menu, click "Vote Chess") and vote on everything with a deadline in the next 24 hours. Read the comments before voting. Please do NOT do the following: Vote early, unless you won't be able to vote closer to the deadline. You can't change your vote, and if you vote early, you miss the benefit of all the comments that come after your vote. Vote for a move that has not been discussed in the discussion thread for the move. If you want to play a move that has not been mentioned, add a comment explaining why you think it's a good move, so that other players can consider it too. Vote without looking at the opinions of the players in the comments. Use an engine to help you come up with a good move. This is cheating and can get you banned from the site. Have another useful set of rules for vote chess, or any other useful comments? If so, please share in the comments!

Most of us here are familiar with ban attacks. But in a club I am now owner of as of 2 days ago, an sa demoted all other staff and left the club. Ban attacks are a threat to the community, as chess.com moderators recognise. But demotion attacks, do they deserve the same attention? Also, any ideas on how to prevent and recover from them quickly? (Other than only promote the right people.)

The problem we had a few months ago with team match scores being calculated incorrectly seems to be back.  The following matches from leagues I help run have incorrect calculated scores. You can see it most easily with the first one.  The score shows as 0-0, but there's 2 points awarded to Space Travelers due to games completed.  In each case I list the scores as they should be. https://www.chess.com/club/matches/1858849 - Mikhail Tal Fans 0, SPACE TRAVELERS 2 https://www.chess.com/club/matches/1824592 - Illinois 37, Ohio 23  https://www.chess.com/club/matches/1858257 - Total 960 3, EGYPT CHESS CLUB 0 https://www.chess.com/club/matches/1846423 - Team Ireland 2.5, Europe National Team 15.5 https://www.chess.com/club/matches/1843285 - Kings and Queens 16.5, Asian Chess Masters 1.5

Try kindness, take a deep breath and be calm instead of snapping back. Later on, try responding with an act of kindness. Doing so could break the cycle of rudeness by allowing the other person to match your behavior. If this tactic doesn't work, you can still be proud you didn't succumb to negativity.

I have a problem with most of the clubs I'm in. I just went inactive for a fee day's, and when I came back, at least 30 vcs were lost on time. This happens a lot. I am the only one voting for the move, which takes away the idea of vcz and puts a lot of stress on those who are doing the vcs. Is there a way to get more people to join without bombarding them with notifs?
