Scoring System: Teams will be awarded 1 point for every match they win, and ½ point for every match they draw. Ties will be settled by the European League tiebreak, which is B*C for each match, where B is the percentage of board points won, assuming all unfinished games are draws, and C is the fraction of finished games in the match. When a team wins a match by forfeit, the average EL tiebreak per match for this team in this season is added to this team's tiebreak.
Team match scores will be adjusted for all closed accounts and for players that are playing for multiple teams (in 2 or more matches for each of 2 or more teams). A player whose opponent is subject to an adjustment will receive 2 points. If both accounts are subject to an adjustment, the points will be split 1:1 regardless of the actual result.

That seems overly complicated to me and I've never heard of that tie-break system before - has anyone?
We use the Sonneborn-Berger Score system in TMCL which is a more conventional way of deciding tie-breaks I think.
I guess the current rules apply to 2024 season. A debate on amends pre 2025 can then take place with whoever has 'volunteered' to be the TD's / SA's for the EL ultimately deciding on changes based on the merit / concensus of discussions.
The more presssing need is to gain stability for the EL by getting someone we can all trust to replace the new random owner, perhaps with a view to nothing more than a holding pattern until the end of September and appointing (say) 2 other SA's to become the 'Board' for the League
The rules I've read look pretty sound to me, so it's not a pressing issue to change them I'd say. What's more urgent is to ensure that the league is able to continue day by day?
I think it can probably run on 'autopilot' for a few months but peripheral activities such as updating details of teams may need to be looked at.
Otherwise we all know what matches we need to create because those pairings are given in the schedule for each division, so there's not really much to do.
The European League is set up as a low-maintenance league. During one season, the basic tasks are:
These are the minimum tasks. If there is spare capacity, these can be added:
Feel free to add tasks if I have overlooked any.
