I like the concept of that we can be in bad position in a "brige" and good in the second. In normal chess, we are in good position or bad position, and here we can be both, so i very like it.
But i think it's will be better with not fatal capture, and you can put more fairy pieces, and with promotion at 11th rank, 8th is to soon.
Also, i suggest you to make it larger, with briges of 3 squares istead of two.
But very good concept.
