Main deck with tome bound lich. No Ral or Ugin or Chandra—do not have them.
I was playing standard ranked on mtga and I came across Covertgoblue’s Budget Mono White deck. It was miserable for him to be CRUSHED. His companion is Lurrus of the Dream Den. I will summarize the game. To be honest, I knew exactly what is in his deck For he copied covertgoblue.
Round 2: Thought erasure. Took out his karanetra’s blessing.
Turn 3: He put Lurrus into husband hand and I thought erasured him again, he had to discard it.
Turn 4-15 (?) He used Gingerbrute to swing me and I could not block. I used things like Dismal Backwater to gain life, thus surviving.
After that: I swung him with tomebound lich (1/3 with deathtouch and lifelink, blue black creature) and he blocked with Gingerbrute, which had vigilance with Sentinel’s Mark. Then he put Karametra’s blessing and I drowned it in the loch (creature removal or counterspell). He put Gods Willing and I drowned it again. He sacd the Alseid of life’s bounty to save it, but he had no more hex proof/indestructible/ protection spells. Therefore, I lava coiled and removed it so it didn’t not kill me. I used tomebound lich and murderous rider to gain life still have more than 5.
Later: he placed a healer’s hawk and all that glitters in it, making it a 2/2 with flying and lifelink. However, I played Bolas and he conceded.
Do not try the budget mono white deck by covertgoblue. I played it. IT is trash. Hail Bolas!!!!!!! Long live Grixis Superfriends!!!!! Long live control decks!!!
