Oh I see. Tap on the icon on the toolbar that looks like a notepad and pen? I didn’t try that.
Oh I have to unlock the topic first to get that icon. Maybe that was the problem.
The Edit Forum Topic button does seem to work once outside Beta.

I think if you are the original poster in a thread, you see a button on the right that says “Edit Forum Topic.” This button works for me outside Beta, but within Beta I was getting JSON code added in.
In my particular case, I was an admin in that group, and had locked the thread. In that situation, you may have to unlock the thread first, and then click on the notepad and pen icon on the toolbar.

That something specific with the Beta editor and was reported early on .
I get it a lot with moderating, and the edit post, instead of the topic, with the Beta editor has always worked to fix it for me. Not sure if that's the case in clubs with admins, as I don't think I've tested that particular process (with a non mod account).
I tried to edit an old forum post of mine with a bunch of hyperlinks using the new Beta document editor toolbar. Unfortunately, that somehow triggered it to insert a bunch of JSON code making the post unreadable. It says {“type”:”doc”, etc. I left Beta, and could edit the document fine.
