Bot Behavior Suggestions

These suggestions may either help with variant creation, or be useful in games.

I think this should be a thread for bot suggestions, though please stay on topic. Also be specific and unique! You should not suggest "attacker" or "defender" and other bot behaviors similar as there is no way to define them.

  1. Directional / F-Directional

Similar to pusher/f-pusher, but always tries to place its pieces(including pawns) on the highest rank. So that would mean that if a queen could go to h10, but a knight can go to f9, it would

    choose the queen. Example:
The bot would choose to move the queen to the square highlighted because it is the furthermost point of the board. However if a royal is in check, it would move the royal to the highest square possible. The futer version would play the best move that puts a piece on the furthermost point.

If the bot cannot move further anymore in it's direction, then it would switch to move its pieces in the opposite direction. Then it repeats the process again.

  2. Strong Piece Futer

Futer that has a preference to move the piece worth most points.

Example:It would move its amazon because the amazon is worth most.

It will always protect it's royal when in check!
  3. Weak Piece Futer

Opposite to the strong piece futer. Self-Explanatory.

Also, weak piece does not use pawns at first, uses the piece with the least value other than pawns. Only uses pawns if there are no pieces.

It will always protect it's royal when in check!

Forgot to say, weak piece does not use pawns at first, uses the piece with the least value other than pawns. Only uses pawns if there are no pieces.

Guard-Mover : Preference to always be adjacent or "see" the Royal Piece. If such moves are legal.

Avatar of OMISGOAT

the Guard Mover always want the Royal piece to be in its movement.

Shuffler: Shuffles as much as they can; always play the move that doesn't affect the game much.
