yeah, ive played a 700 bot and im rated 200 for rapid😭
Bot ratings need to be fixed.
It's really hard to make a bot play like a specific rating, especially when the engine is designed to play the best moves. A lot of different parameters have to be tweaked and it's not always going to be an accurate translation.
Players can have a rating based on a number different factors. Some one bad at endgames and openings but good at tactics could have the same rating as someone good at openings and endgames but bad at tactics. One player could only be rated due to losing on time a lot.

That actually makes sense.

yeah, I understand it's particularly difficult to make low-rated bots (as it is surprisingly more difficult to create easy levels for games than more difficult ones - though this is unrelated)... but really
Yesterday i beated 1200 rated coach and game review rated my game 1350 and coach's 850 so yeah ratings shall be fixed and coach plays easier than some 150-250 players
I agree - I am rated 600 rapid and I can comfortably beat a 1500 bot. Check this out:
me too

@Martin_Stahl As the biggest chess site with millions of games everyday, cc has a large data set which can be used to make these bots more accurate. I believe lichess does something like this in general play aswell as data for time usage. Correct me if Im wrong but I think this should be possible.

Technically it could be possible if they wanted to use a different engine. All the bots are based on Komodo and it doesn't use NNUE or have access to data like that. The site would need to use a different engine and most NNUE type engines are pretty large.
Have you ever noticed that the bot ratings are much lower than what they say?
I, as a 1000, can beat 1500, but when I play 1000, it doesn't play as well as a normal 1000-rated player. Is this shared or just me?
