Another one of my friends had the same bug they couldn’t see their board or pieces

Then it seems like it may be a bug.

Nothing from my end, may be a coincidence, but try clearing browser cache, mostly works for some minor bugs

There have been some similar reports, so if clearing your browser cache doesn't help, you may be in a subset of members impacted. If so, it's likely due to a CDN server shared by those members.
