Hi! During 2026 Chess.com Daily Chess Championship I played a game which ended with conditional moves. Right now this game is nowhere to be found and link to this game is not working. Is it a common issue?
I managed to get pgn as it is saved in “Saved analysis section”, but I guess it’s still a bug or something.

Hello, this is a rather interesting (and sometimes frustrating) issue related to Chess.com's hosting system, especially in major tournaments like the Daily Chess Championship 2026. Here are the reasons explaining this phenomenon (in my opinion):

1. Database Update Delay (Most Common Error)

When a game ends extremely quickly thanks to the conditional move system, sometimes Chess.com's servers haven't had time to synchronize the game status from "in progress" to "finished" in the tournament list.

Result: The game link may show a temporary 404 error or not appear in the player's profile immediately.

2. Problems with Conditional Moves

Conditional moves allow you to pre-set responses. If your opponent makes the move you predicted, leading to the end of the game (checkmate, draw due to repeated positions, etc.), the system will execute a series of moves in less than 1 second.

In a few cases, this "flash" ending causes a display error on the Tournament Interface, making the game appear as if it never existed until the system re-indexes it.

3. Saved in "Saved Analysis"

The user in the image says they found the PGN file in the "Saved Analysis" section. This proves:

The game actually took place and was recorded by the core system.

The original link chess.com/game/daily/... not working is just a display error at the front-end.

Solution:

Wait: Usually, the system will automatically fix the error after about 30 minutes to a few hours when the database is updated.

Clear your browser cache: Sometimes browsers save web pages in an outdated state, making match links appear broken.

Check your archives: Don't search the tournament list; go to Play -> Archive and filter Daily matches to find the exact match number.

There were some recent backend issues, as there are a number of topics about ges not showing up. I think it's just systems are working through a backlog.

Some of the reported missing habes have since shown up in the archives and are accessible. If you're still seeing issues in a day, post again.
