Bug [ ]: Insights - games to be analyzed does not match filter settings
When first visiting the page, I'm pretty sure it just starts a process to analyze all your games. Those filters aren't used until the games are analyzed.
So is this a one time process to bootstrap Insights, and as more games are played, they will be added to the initial survey?
If so then some wording indicating it is a bootstrap process would help. Maybe
The Initial Analysis of your 20,941 games May Take a While
I asked about future/new games in the News release, but my assumption is that it probably will import new games after each new visit, if there are any to import.
Martin_Stahl is correct. The way Insights works is:
- The first time you visit the page, the system processes your existing game history (and you may have to wait a while)
- After that, each time you complete a chess game, it is automatically processed. So when you visit Insights (after that first time), it should be available and up-to-date almost immediately.
Thanks for the feedback!
It's also worth noting: the intended functionality is that that loading page should disappear and take you to your Insights as soon as they are ready.
But we noticed that that's not working as we expected right now, so you may have to manually refresh the page in order to see your actual Insights dashboard.

I left the page for a while and came back. It loaded then. Never received any notification, but I don't know if that's because the process is still doing some analysis, that's not working correctly, or it didn't because I revisited.
The analysis uses total game count not the games represented by the filters:
