This is for analysis and is intended, it's not a bug. Claim Win / Resign is a valid "move".

@spacebar please visit game number #25521896

I found a bug and couldn't take a screenshot, so I have left comments in the spec chat of the game. Thanks.

Aha I didn't notice that the flag picture that is there when there is no claim win means you can make the player resign, makes sense then. Perhaps it should say "Resign" instead of having a picture of a flag.

I have also noticed once while playing that the Claim win button appeared for a brief moment when I made a move where my opponent could claim win on the following move.

Filtering by rating doesn't seem to work:

1971 was maybe rounded down to 1950?

That could be true, but that wouldn't explain this:

I can't play 4PC on Chrome. I've had other users say the same. It works fine on Safari but on chrome neither the clocks nor the player scores are visible as they are overdrawn by the board.

I was led to believe that FFA solo scoring would slowly phase in gradually until fully complete at about 2400.  However I'm playing a lot of games at 2000-2100 and it appears to be scoring in full solo mode.  This is seriously affecting play and expectations. I can see players changing their approach to cooperation in the early game, where more of the "social game" that makes FFA is most evident, but also in tight endgames where again shifting cooperation makes for the most interesting strategies.  When it's entirely "first past the post" it basically eliminates all the complex wordless negotiation and turns it into a game of 3 player chicken.  Most of us don't find that very interesting or engaging.  I've been asking a lot of folks what they think about it.  So far I can't find *any* who prefer this scoring.  I know it's a matter of taste but I should think you'd take the tastes of your actual users into account.  Have you tried polling about it?

I've talked to other players about changing back to Old Standard in our settings.  I have also tried creating such a game.  There is no "Old Standard" preset but if I manually create it in the edit board menu I get it and the system appears to recognize it because it is automatically titled "Old Standard Setup".

I then set it as rated and create a game.  At my end it appears to make a perfectly ordinary game and sits there waiting showing (only) one player has joined (me).

If I go to the lobby or the outstanding challenges listing, the game does not appear. I infer that NOBODY sees the game except for me.

Since I can select any of the preset boards and create a game that appears, I wonder why the Old Standard setup does not. Is it specifically blocked?  How does that make any sense?

One curiosity I've noticed:  the "play" button appears by my created game when I do this.  Normally this doesn't happen. I tried clicking it to see what happens.  This spawns a NEW incarnation of the same game with 2 players having joined (both of which are me).  I cannot join a third time, but then I have two identical games in my cue, one with 1 player and one with 2.

I sent a 4|0 Teams invite to my friend, apparently some guy had created 5 of that same queue and when my friend accepted we got joined into all 5 of those...

I'm not completely sure if this is related to the variant server update, but today I noticed that my rating and number of games were both reset (in atomic). My past games and ratings are still visible in the archive. This happened to someone else I know also. Has this happened to anyone else/does anyone know why this happened?

This is not a bug. The rating shown on top in the user popup changes depending on which game you've selected or are observing. It shows the game title and the user's corresponding (composite) rating.

The lobby rating range filter does not filter by player rating; it filters by game rating range. That is, it filters which games you are able to join based on the +/- rating range set by the player who created the game challenge. The games shown in your screenshot do not have a rating range limit set and hence they are not filtered.

I presume it's the same issue as reported here. Could you provide more details? I cannot reproduce this UI bug on Chrome.

4PC: I'm having issues with the board size/overlapping of everything.  Apologies if this has already been answered.

Could you provide some more details? What browser? Does it always look like that for you or only in certain situations?

The names of the players are all squished together on Chaturaji.  Thanks for your help!

I'm sorry I don't follow. Previously that filter would filter by player rating? What rating is it filtering now? I don't know what you mean by game rating.

grable

Thanks for increasing this!

I had the identical problem with Chrome. I switched to Microsoft Edge and everything formats just fine.
