1) Carried over from previous version (I submitted it late): In Online Chess, I viewed the first game in my list, which had 24 hours left for me to make a move.  I made a move, and then it automatically moved to the next game, where it again told me I had 24 hours.  I moved to the next game, and the next game, and so on, and the time never updated.

For some reason, ever since downtime yesterday, I have not been able to access my games. Yesterday during the downtime, it would just show a white screen where my games should be, which I assume is perfectly normal during downtime. But today, it will show my list of games, but it says "ERROR Your session has expired. Please log in again." And try as I might, even after logging out and back in within the app, it will not access my games.

2) It's a small thing, but when the site is down, Online Chess is just a white screen.  No friendly error message saying, "Site under maintenance!" or anything.

Do you still want us to continue to report bugs here, btw?  I saw in one of your recent emails that you are releasing the app to Apple.

Trying the app after the site was down I am now getting when I try to play online:   'Your session has expired. Please log in again'.  But logging in again makes no difference.

I reported some first impressions elsewhere .. so here are a few second impressions.  Played chess.com through the app in a cafe in Salisbury over a coffee near the cathedral - absolutely brilliant.  But one major frustration (not a bug):  I really dislike the confirm move pop up screen.  I like to make a move on the main board and then contemplate its foolhardiness - but with the pop up I can't do that, which forces me to use analysis.  No real hardship, but its a different 'workflow' from the main site and I find myself longing for a commit button.  Also, when I move from analysis to the main board and make the move the language of 'do you confirm the move' feels like the coach on Shredder etc saying.. are you sure you want to make that dumb move?  Which then makes me unsure of the move.  I suggest if you have to keep the confirm dialogue that you change the wording to 'submit move?' - this would then be in keeping with the settings which refer to a submit button.. though as far as I know there is no button as such.

3) Chat in Online Chess is upside-down.  I have a game (vs. SteveCrockett) with an extensive amount of chat.  (We talk a lot.)  When I look at it in the app, the scroll is down at the bottom, but the ordering from top-to-bottom is newest to oldest -- so it defaults to looking at the oldest.  Plus, when I added a few messages, they got appended to the bottom, below the oldest message.  Funky.

I've tried to download and install several times to mu iphone.  I can not even get the app to my phone.  please post direction on how to download.  I have removed the old program and have authorized ect.  can not get it to work.

I just downloaded this version and installed it.  It's still showing an online game challenge for a challenge I rejected a week ago.  So that bug is still there.

ahh just noticed in the main website the rejection of the challenge didn't go through either.  I just re-rejected it and I'm sure it will be fine.

I still see the board from whites perspective when I'm playing black.

In one game when I pressed the back button to go through past moves, the pieces were disappearing and reappearing when other pieces moved. Hard to explain but it was acting pretty funky - a white pawn would take the black pawn but would remain white for example, and the knight would move and the opponents knight on the other side of the board would disappear ect..! It did it a few times even after exciting app, but know seems more stable.

Good point about that confirm move button, I also find it very distracting. At least place it below the board maybe so it doesn't block the view.

This thread is no longer the appropriate place to report bugs -- there is a new Release Candidate, so we should make a new thread for that.

Just an hour ago I was playing a game and couldn't move on my iphone, I had to login to chess.com and play there.  Restarting the chess.com iphone app did not help.
