When did you upload the new app ?
bugs in new iphone app
I installed the updated app one or two days ago, when I was prompted by itunes app store that the update was available. After finding seeing the issues I mentioned, I reinstalled it, but still those problems persist.
Also running latest rev of iOS.
I noticed these issues using tactics trainer in the new app, which caused me to fail several problems...
1. sometimes it indicates the wrong side to play (the black or white dot at top of problem)
2. sometimes timer is missing
3. sometimes timer is frozen
4. sometimes piece/square move highlighting does not work
Other suggestion...
move the row of icon buttons (next prob, menu, flip, analysis brd, solution, etc) away from the first rank of the board. I often accidentally press the solution button when trying to touch a piece/square on the first rank.

I've got an ipod using the latest app, i've tried these over and over and can't replicate what you're experiencing. Have you tried completely un-installing and re-installing the app ?
Were you logged in when you watched them? or came in as 'guest' ?

I can't reproduce the issues with the Tactics timer or color indicator.
I *have* seen instances where move highlighting stops working in all contexts (tactics, computer, online games). To "fix" that, you have to shut down the app completely (i.e. from the multitasking bar that comes up when you hit the iphone's button twice). We'll get that fixed!
Can someone suggest a specific video that is showing only the preview version? I've looked at a few recent offerings, and I'm getting the whole vid, no problem.

@david1995 - I'm not getting anything other than a momentary interval (like, one second) to update my Online game list.. Are you wifi or 3g, or is it the same either way?
Yup. Thanks, lingretal. For what it's worth, we've nailed it as exclusive to videos via 3G - and it's reproducible. We'll get that fixed in the next version (shortly, I hope) and look into the Tactics timer/move-indicator issues to boot.

Still seeing these issues. It doesn't happen on every tactics problem, but I get it eventually after playing a few or several. I tried using my wife's iphone, and it occurs there too. It happens no matter what type of connection I have, 3G or my wifi. Here's an example: This is a problem that just started. The computer has just played black's move 1...g6, and is awaiting my move for white. The color indicator is black and the timer is missing.

Also, I notice often there is a small lag (~1s ) between when a new problem starts (board populates and computer moves) and when the color indicator and timer subsequently show up. So I wonder if this is related...
Thanks all. In recent news, I *have* managed to reproduce the issues with the tactics timer disappearing - although I can't yet make it happen at will (i.e. with a set of steps that faithfully does it).
Anyway, we're trying to resolve these and a handful of other issues as we speak - in hopes of getting a hotfix to Apple in the next few days.
I am having a different issue - maybe it's just a preference issue, but I am being asked to sign in each time I open the app - I miss the previous versions where I would automatically sign in. Perhaps this is so that multiple members can use the same iDevice but I'd prefer it the other way.

No, that's definitely a bug. Are you on Edge or (poor) 3G when that happens?

I have the same problem with WiFi on my iPod Touch.
Updated app today. Iphone.
Two ongoing probs, using either app or browser version v3 on iphone:
1. I cannot enter recipient in email 'To' window.
2. I cannot find report bug option.
Any suggestions?
