All great suggestions! I think we can do the second one, plus the reverse.
Bulk actions for membership management of groups
if its easy you might also consider a ck box allowing for the ability to ck multiple names then hit remove.
I see that something has changed here. Great! The options when sorting the members of a group now include
- Least Active
- Oldest Members
which are the reverse of "Most Recently Active" and "Newest Members", respectively.
However, I'm still missing
- Least Recently Online
the reverse of "Most Recently Online". This is what I asked in the first place. Is this still work in progress or do we need a new ticket?
Sorry about the topic resurrection, but I just started a major cleanup of our group; we have members who have not been online in more than 10 years. Seeing that we're talking literally hundreds of members here, is there any chance of getting a bulk remove feature? Like, mark all the members you want to perform an action on, and then click "remove all marked"?
In Chess Team Holland, we perform once a year a large membership clearance: removing all members who have not been online any more for longer than a year. These are a lot of members (more than 100 last year). And in the current setting of V3 this is incredibly cumbersome work:
You sort the members by "Most recently online". Then those members to be removed are at the end of the list (this is page 70 of the list for Chess Team Holland). If you mark one of these members and remove it, then chess.com directs you back to the first page of the list. So you must navigate back to the last page to mark the next member and remove it. This is annoyingly roundabout.
First best solution: Introduce a bulk action "Remove all members inactive since ..."
Second best solution: Direct the user back to the previous page after a "Remove member" action, rather than to the first page of the sorted list.
Alternatively: Make reverse sorting possible so that the members in question are at the top of the list.
