I have to agree.

The king was on e5, could be an important free tempo there so you should correct that.

My guard can't hold this square any longer.

Actually, Gb7-Ka8 is an easy draw. I have to prevent that.

Yeah. I think I'm holding this. There was definitely a point where I could have blundered, but if you're aware of the danger, it's easily defendable.

Isn't there a similar fortress in King + Knight vs King + Bishop + Bishop?

captaintugwash

This board is a little random! My king was on b7, and yours was on d6.

I'm going Be3 instead of Kd6

I would imagine so.

Alright, I concede a draw.

The theme of this endgame is black wants to get to the corner, which is counter-intuitive. He just needs to be careful not to fall into a deadly pin or for his king to stray too far.

captaintugwash

I think it's all very well splitting the king and guard with the bishops, but you need to get your king between my guard and king to win.

Marks1420

It's funny, because if black can achieve this position safely, its a dead draw

But I think white can stop him from doing this, but he can't stop him from doing this AND win the game.
