Can you fix the event dates - they are wrong

Perhaps the problem has been fixed by the time you see this message, but:

- The deadline for applications was said to be Tuesday the 9th, when Tuesday is actually the 10th. Further, the applications were closed on the 8th. Which date did you mean?

- More immediately relevant: The information says the simul will happen on Friday the 12th. Friday is not the 12th, it's the 13th. So, does the simul happen on Friday, or does it happen on Thursday the 12th?

I live in the German time zone, so I know this is not an International Date Line issue.

Quoting from the information here:

"Judit Polgar (@JuditPolgar), unarguably the greatest female player of all time and one of the greatest attacking players of all time, will play 20 fortunate opponents on Chess.com as part of the Global Chess Festival Online. This simultaneous display will take place the day prior to the main Global Chess Festival on Friday, October 12 at 06:30 PM GMT+2. This year's fourth annual Global Chess Festival will take place all-day Saturday, October 13."

THESE DATES ARE STILL WRONG. DOES NO ONE MANAGE THIS CLUB?

Hi, I'm not really sure where you see this information? Can you link to that for me?

JuditSztaray

This is referring to an announcement from 2018, and the simul that happened in that year.

thanks Iris for your patience as we have figured this out. We will include the year in the announcement from now on, so that it's more trivial which is for which year. Also it will hopefully be a bit more easier to keep track, if we are more active in this club

thanks, and have a great weekend!

Everything is clear now! But yes, putting the year on everything, as well as getting rid of that link (that I emailed to you) to the signup form for the 2018 simul, will do a lot to prevent misleading new members like me, especially as I was not the only confused person - my forum post got 2 upvotes.

Thanks for the response!
