Everyone loves an underdog story, but chess is brutal as no amount of luck can beat skill. Or can it?
Well, I certainly did get my fair share of luck and managed to beat a 2100 TWICE!!! in Sunday's chess.com India Bullet Arena Tournament, checkmating him twice, so here are the games!
This game gave me an accuracy of 92% and a rating performance of 2250, which is for sure my highest estimated elo yet. My opponent's estimated elo was 1850 but I feel he made many blunders due to exhaustion as he played 74 bullet games in 2 hours.
However, by the end of the tournament very few people were playing and I got a chance to beat him again and this win was way more satisfying!
Of course, I played him 7 times and lost 5 times in this tournament, but still, let me gloat a little bit all right? Let's hope this is a sign of actual improvement and not just a fluke.
Flukes don't happen twice!
