I have experienced the same problem. This is very clear and helpful. Thank you!
Castling
Yes, this exact topic has been posted several times in the general forums. Move the King first and then WAIT for Chess.com to recognize the castling maneuver BEFORE moving the Rook.
Thanks for the feedback.
To state the obvious. I play Kg8 then Rf8 very fast, both by lifting and putting down and lifting rook over the king. I never play Rg8, and I don't slide, but this move comes out. It looks like the king and the rook move get mixed up, or does somebody understand what happens? I also found Kf8 and Rf8 as output. As mentioned, playing Kg8 by lifting and putting down, then waiting till registered, is the only sure way to castle, per my understanding.
If I do the same with queen-side castling, so first moving the king then quickly the rook, both by lifting and putting down, the system gives the rook move Rc8 for black or Rc1 for white. Looks like king and rook move get mixed up when done fast.
I find this information necessary for online play with the board and want it to share, so others can also benefit and add their comments.
What happened to me was the following. I wanted to perform black king-side castle.
I could reproduce this. When performing the castling by lifting and putting down the pieces, in Blitz play speed, it did not work. The workaround is as below.
Is this clear? Have others experienced similar or other problems with castling? The other problem is when sliding the king, and sliding is not fast enough. Then this is registered as a king one square move. This problem is nothing new, for sliding must be down with swift movements.
