Challenge Button missing on a club's home page

Maybe you guys know, sometimes when creating a team to team match, it is necessary to challenge the other team by using the challenge button on their club's home page. In the new layout, however, the challenge button is not there making things difficult such as erratic start time of the match etc. I have had to cancel two challenges recently because of this.

Please note this. Thanks

As there are more errors than features, for me it looks to be appropriate to pause the Beta release of club redesign until developers will have catched up with tickets.

You are right. This new layout is more of a pain than to ease things. It's become a challenge every time you want to do something. More like banging your head against a wall.

@OldWolf67: Please don't bang your head against a wall ... just for this obviously miserable work of others (who are – bye the way – paid for their work). You, me and many others are spending a lot of time to assist "making the world a better place through chess". There looks to be an internal Chess.com problem and there is still (at least) a (minor) chance, that this will be solved before you, me and many others will loose their hope. Remember: Hope dies at last.

Hope is what I live on and I won't lose hope in this regard also. Thanks, you are very considerate, I appreciate it.

I wrote in Notes, but I will repeat here: I think the tested version is absolutely useless. In fact, it is an attempt to modernize the existing (but actually with, let's put it mildly, dubious success. Personally, I liked how everything was arranged in the current version, and I absolutely do not understand why "invent the wheel"), than to introduce something new in terms of functionality. The only new thing that is proposed to be added is a search on the forum. But after all, this could have been added to the existing version, without turning the usual and comfortable club tools upside down, right?

About challenges... (although this applies to the current version, I have not tried it with the one being tested yet - but still I will write) - it is impossible to copy the link to the challenge of Live Matches, although once upon a time it was definitely available. Previously, even detailed challenge parameters could be viewed... Where did it all go? Right now it is very inconvenient, I hope it will be fixed in the future.

Forum search already exists

Yes, that's what I meant... i.e., Forum search is the only innovation in the tested version, everything else is an upgrade of the existing one

It has always existed, or at least pretty much since I've been a member.

Lol, you're right, just checked - I didn't notice that in the current version...

1. Beta version:

2. Current version:

In this case, no innovation surprise tear Although the fact that the search has become more noticeable from beta is undoubtedly a plus. Everything else I like about the current version, so I really hope that the beta version will not be implemented in the near future. At the moment there are many cons, I hope they will be fixed by then.

Oh God, my post was about the challenge button being not there on the club homepage and you guys have turned he whole discussion to Forums. Let's get back to the topic if we can, otherwise my post is rendered futile.

Here's a screenshot:

In the current version there used to be a challenge button on the home page which is no longer there in the new layout.

OldWolf67

Well, that was my club, I'll show you the home page of a club I am not a member of:

See? No challenge button.

This should work through the «New Event» - this is what it gives:

Rather, through this you can send a challenge, but how to view the challenge itself... The current version has something like «Created Live Challenges» (something like that, I write from memory) - how is it beta I don't know, haven't tried it yet.

This doesn't work. Time zines get mixed up or wrong, especially in World League matches.

OldWolf67

*Time zones

Can you explain what you mean by timezones get mixed up? Because it should be in your timezone (based on what is configured in your settings)

OldWolf67

Well for World League matches I have to set my ches.com clock to Los Angeles time and then to send challenge to other team using the challenge button on the opponent club's home page. Now since the button is no longer there, I tried sending challenge through the daily chess event off my club. I sent the challenge 2 times but they were cancelled the because the times were all wrong. And that was the WL2023 match. When I asked the SA of World league Headquarters, They also said I will have to challenge the club using their challenge button on their home page otherwise it won't work out correct,

Forgive my sloppy English and typos because I an too much sleepy but can't sleep due to the tingling in my calves (diabetic neuropathy)

OldWolf67

At least bring back the challenge button on home pages of clubs.

I always use sites that provide information about the time difference to send challenges - either Live or Daily. And, to be honest, I did not know that if you send a challenge from the page of another club, then the time indicated in the challenge will correspond not to the time zone set in the profile settings, but to the location of the opposing team. Also I wonder why this tournament does not hold its tournaments in UTC, but this is already a question for its organizers.

Maybe this will be useful for you: list of time difference UTC - Los Angeles - New Delhi? Or just Los Angeles - New Delhi, without UTC...
