1600 is pretty high for us. I consider 1000 to be higher than average for most social clubs, even though the technical average is supposed to be 1400. But that's for people who play a lot of chess.

I can. I've casually watched a few games between really low-rated players, and it just looked like they were making random moves to me lol. I'll tell you why I quit playing live chess for a long time. I went to the library to play on one of their computers, and it was my birthday about a year and a half ago. I was winning the first game I started playing, and all the sudden the computer just shut off. The power supply had gotten loose and by barely touching it with my foot it got disconnected. I was so depressed by losing a game on my birthday like that, that I've hardly played live chess since then and my rapid rating is only about 800 rn. My blitz and bullet are even lower than that. I don't think too quickly under pressure lol.
