Chess.com mute policy for private group admins

Are you deliberately misunderstanding, @Merlin_Mod? Nobody is talking about club mutes for group members instigated by club admins. This is about site mutes for admins who were targeted by site for messaging their own club members.
So no, if muted it is not possible to message you!

Just tried to offer some background to our discussion here in a blog post about "Structural problems for clubs on Chess.com": https://www.chess.com/blog/Tournamentix/structural-problems-for-clubs-on-chess-com

The intention is that if you need to message a lot of members is to use the Announcement feature. That allows members that don't want to receive club communications to opt-out.
Announcements don't work on app, this is part of the problem. A lot of members don't recive the club's notifications.

Same goes for the notes, people on app won't get the notification. In the club I manage, I often observe than fewer than 10% of the active members are reached by announcements or notes, which makes propagating important messages tricky.

By default, Announcements send a message to members that have not opted out of receiving them.

You realise he said that they dont work?? It has been a bug for 3 months and nothing has been done about it. I know because news posts in my group used to get 200-250 views. And now they get 20-50. And its not because my group randomly became inactive, its because the site is infested with bugs and nothing is being done about it because staff do not care.
Same with top player list. 3 months ago I heard "they are working on a fix." It does not take THREE MONTHS to fix two bugs! Staff just doesnt care, simple.

I also made a call (two or three times) for the top players list, at first they didn't know what i was talking about? If i could give them a link and a club?
i don't know if it has been mentioned before but a player had a shortlist on his/her startpage for all matches that where coming up in all the clubs he/she is in. That is gone for quite a while.
One has to go to every club and check the open matches there.....

Getting a message about the announcement doesn't mean the members will view the full announcement.

The players DONT get the message! Thats the whole problem in the first place! Jesus...
We did not drop from 200 views to 20 due to lack of interest, sorry. There is a bug that doesnt notify members of news posts, and its been there for THREE MONTHS without any acknowledgement from chess.com

Most of the clubs I'm in don't do many Announcements but I have been getting the ones that I'm configured to receive. Just got one today as well. Views will only get counted if the member clicks through.
I can't say that maybe larger clubs may not have issues with the delivery of messages about announcements, just my personal experience with them.

Yes, and 200 people used to click through. Now only 20. Lack of interest or bug? And it wasnt a gradual decline, it was out of nowhere. So, there is a bug that needs to be fixed, and so far I have not even seen staff acknowledge the bug.

Now comments are back and Chess.com offers another place to discuss ...: https://www.chess.com/news/view/chesscom-among-100-most-influential-companies-2023

Did you try it? It's not working no matter how much you want to receive the messages. This is the problem: club's notifications is not working for apps. Please, testing. It's the root of the problems.

For clubs where I have Announcement alerts allowed yes, they do show in the app messages.
This is from yesterday and I'm not aware of any of my clubs where that hasn't happened.
But the point here is about admins being automatically muted by the website while doing admin duties...
