YOu mean for live games?
That is because we don't save that chat in our database. We are already saving millions of games, saving the chat too could be dramatically more.
Oh, if you can do it, it will great but if there is a big problem please don't do it.
maybe as an option. I had reported an opponent because she wrote in the chat "lol you can wait 2 minutes" and let the time go to zero. She was losing.
Having an option to "save chat & report" could be helpfull. I copy/pasted it but it isn't solid proof.

We have the "Was x a good sport" That is the best way to report right now.
Chess.com doesn't allow you to read the chat after you leave the chat room and come back to read the messages.
