Chess.com Version...Emoji?

Maybe the emojis should at least SLIGHTLY resemble the correct buttons??

I don't know what you mean but I gives me an idea. Replace the regular chess set by emoji chess men. Animals of fruits or whatever!

Also it’s super weird it switched back right now but previously it persisted for a few minutes that’s weird.

Anyways I have another screenshot back from then and actually the emojis clearly still represent the same thing (flag = images, rose flower = change size of text box etc)

We can already buy thematic chess sets like the Simpsons, frogs, star wars...

I know some versions of Safari have had issues in the past. What is the Safari version? You might try a different browser.

But why would it change to these completely random emojis I don’t even use these?

Sometimes older versions of browsers have trouble parsing all the code correctly and can end up with rendering errors.

I have experienced this happening on Safari too but not for a long time, so long I had forgotten all about it. There is another phenomena along the same lines where what looks like Greek letters replace the Chesscom page icons such as the pawn, envelope and bell, it’s accompanied by a slowed performance.

That letter thing is certainly related to slow page loads or a failure to load all the associated JavaScript or CSS files.
