How to overcome a year long slump
Chess Master - Ask Me Anything!

Any tips on how to stay fit during OTB Tournaments? Like two weeks ago I had a 15|10 7 Rounds Swiss OTB Tournament. In the first round I defeated an 1700 FIDE rated guy. In the second round I was winning against a 2000 FIDE, but I resigned, while the position was close to equal. I overlooked that I can stop the pawn c2-c1 promotion. In the third round I drew an 1500 FIDE, but from then I started tilting and I lost to people who I have never lost before. I even hung my Queen in one of the games! I know in general these are good results, but I don't want to get out of form after 3 rounds. Any tips?
Hard to say as I would say everyone has their own ways. Although I would say just resting between rounds and to get good sleep. Playing good chess for a long time just comes with experience and you'll get better as you play more tournaments.
Thank you!

im just giving to the needy! i learned from my mentor Rodgy, who, when I asked about how to get better at variants, told me to "Win", so I'm simply spreading the word!

How to defeat a 2460 rated IM that I play every week?
Aldama sold like two weeks ago lol

Let's say your opponent starts with an unusual opening or an unusual line that you've never practiced or seen before. What's the best way to go about it?
I always get to nervous to play a game because I am anxious about losing rating. How can I overcome this?
Everybody is going to be nervous when they play, although I wouldn't be too concerned about your rating because you're going to lose rating at some point no matter what. I would just focus on playing the best chess and not let outside thoughts affect your game.
