I am looking for an affordable chess set to buy in Hong Kong for around 500 HKD. Are there any good shops that I can check here?

Yeah they might be a little bit out of your budget. But you can look for a smaller one. I think they have different sizes from 16" to 23"? You can check if the smaller one is good for you.

Oh yeah, you might want to search for a wooden chess set instead of a chess set.

Royal Chess Mall is another nice choice but may be a bit over budget.

The house of staunton is also a good place.

I just got a good set from them recently. The board was damaged during shipping but they sent me a new one.

Anyway, in Hong Kong, please really consider buying a set that can fit in your home. You know we have very limited space, if the set is too big that you always put it under the bed or inside a wardrobe, it has no point.

Well, my set is just next to my bed that keep me looking at it all the time to train my sense. (better visualization?) Nobody really play chess in front of me in real life lol.

The chess store also sell very good chess and they have very good looking metallic chess set!

that is almost 200 HKD but i only can find this one this cheap.

also TaoBao or Amazon, 天猫 is good but i think you have less chance of getting a chess board in Tmall.
