I agree
Chess960 match logo needs a redesign.

I’m thinking still have the white central circle but with the orange logo replacing the grey part.
Alternatively, the entire white circle could be replaced by a black circle with the orange logo.
Whichever is more noticeable at a glance would be my preference, and I’m sure chess.com’s graphic designers can come up with a few other alternatives.

Given that I never received a response after formally making this suggestion (twice), posting it in the Site Feedback forum, and opening this thread (with multiple positive responders, thx), is there any way for me to find out if anyone at chess.com is intending to follow up on this suggestion?
I would have thought it would be a simple fix/improvement to the site. At the very least I thought there would have been a short reply to my suggestion/bug reports. It’s almost like seeing words sucked into a black hole. Just sayin’.

Staff don't often reply to forum posts in the main forums. Regarding redesigns of assets, the site has a team that does graphics work and usually try to have a unified theme across them.
My guess is that your suggested change isn't planned.
I did make a suggestion about this through the regular channel (twice) with no response, and have just posted the suggestion in the Site Feedback forum, but the chess960 match logo really does need a redesign.
When most club 960 matches begin, there are usually several players who immediately resign or else allow their games to time-out. They hadn’t realized it was a 960 match because the small board in the top left corner is not noticeably different from the one for regular matches.
Here’s the current logo, followed by my suggested colour change for the central grey section:
