Im with Cosmo,  live chess swiss tournament. 15 /10 or longer game...45 or30 mins? Dont really know the ladder but guess it is pretty self explanatory! Thanks

I'd play 7, 5 & probably 1. Something a bit different

I feel much as Cosmo and Chris. Swiss 15|10, 45|15 suit me fine. Blitz is not my favourite, and daily is something I am not going to attempt. We had arena once or twice, didn't we? That was good, too. But swiss is best.

In weighing my preferences please bear in mind that I'm seldom available to enjoy chess.  I prefer fast time limits., so 15/10 suits me well.  If you were desperate for simuls and taking down senior players you could try me.  I'm now a spent force, but in my heyday I gave 50 board simuls and once a 133-board "tandem" simultaneous in which I and a colleague (Peter Gibbs) trailed each other round the arena at some distance making alternate moves ...  so when I returned to a board, Black had replied to my earlier move, White had made some other move, and Black was just replying to this ...  !   You would be welcome to claim my scalp in a Broadland event some time.   But for the time being this suggestion should probably be kicked into the long grass !  Best wishes to all from David.
