Why bother with clocks?!?!

Maybe you have to claim the win? The same happened to me, even though I have auto-claim on.

Avatar of Spacebux

Auto-claim used to be on for ... Years! When did this change to be a manual claim?

Avatar of HeisukeKogami

Yea idk either. You should be able to auto-claim...

Avatar of Spacebux

This is ridiculous. Now I have to be UP and hitting Page Reload 24-hours a day to claim a clock win?!?!

Avatar of Spacebux

In my profile settings, Auto Claim Win is ON... System Failure.
Auto-Claim is ON.

A win's a win.

And I agree.

I believe there's a backlog due to the 2026 Chess com Daily Chess Championships where there are a lot of timeouts and the system isn't able to keep up

You should be able to manually claim, the games, until the system is able to catch back up.

@Martin_Stahl -- so they miss judged the system's ability to handle the absolute # of Time Outs...

It's that the system wasn't set up to handle events with 54K+ members playing in a single event, with as many games, with a very high number those games timing out each day. That's in addition to the normal games and tournaments that run.

Avatar of Martin_Stahl

The issue should be fixed and the system is working through the backlog.

its basically we don't want you knowing where we live, so its the "None of the above" option, though if you are a true stalker, just keep track of when there online, lol

Many who don't want to be stalked online have something devious to hide.

many who don't want to be stalked online are completely normal

Normal people don't ascribe to being "International". E.g., if you put up a U.S. flag next to your completely random username, I would still have no idea where to send a lump of charcoal. Abnormal people with abnormal fears select the country International. You fear stalking for a reason.

I don't fear stalking, in fact, sometimes, people just don't want other people knowing what country there from, also, your not Santa, and if I wanted a lump of charcoal I could just go burn some wood. and it's actualy completely normal to have a fear of being stalked, exspecialy if the site your on likes to make your first AND last name public if it knows it, which is completely legal because of the TOS, AND the fact you can change it to REDACTED, CLASSIFIED, or just space.

or sometimes people set it to internation as a symbol that they accept all, or chess.com for whatever reason couldn't find out what country they're from.
