Do you like closed positions, or open positions? And why? Tell me in the comments below!

I personally, I like open positions, I can attack more freely. And for closed positions, it feels very cramped to me.

Depends what pieces you have, knights are good in closed positions, but bishops are better in open (I think)

Yup!

Exactly

How about, let’s say you are in the middle game. You have both pairs of minor pieces. Would you like a closed position? Or open?

Closed by far, i like having more space and i utilize knights way better than bishops, i usually open it up transitioning from middle to endgame

Open positions have more possibilities of tactics.  Hence, Open Positions.  happy.png

Nice! I’m just wondering, why do you like closed positions? (Besides the fact that knights are better in closed positions)

imadarkhorse

I like mainly open positions but closed positions can be helpful against higher rated opponents if you want a draw wink.png

Hands down, open!

Reasons:

1. Im claustrophobic.

2. Easier to spell

Lol.

Closed positions. I'm not that good with tactics and prefer long term strategy over it happy.png
