Club Redesign: Five questions to @jdcannon
Please note that we have added these filter options now:

Soon, we are going to remember your last selection so that every time you visit the page it will default to what you looked at last time.
@jdcannon: Looks like a very useful extension of this feature: Thanks.
A remark, a question and a suggestion:
- If I'm on the 3rd page of one rating list and select another one, it shows the 3rd page of this list: Perhaps it's better to start always with the 1st page of each list.
- Is there a particular reason, for which you have excluded "Daily 960" from these filter options? Managing these matches would become much easier this way.
- As far as I can see it would be an additional advantage to see the "Won/Draw/Lost" information beside the rating, as this indicates, if the format is liked by the player.

- Makes sense.

- Oversite, will add.

- Reasonable, will see what we can do.
@jdcannon: Great. Thought, adding statistics should be easy as there is a lot of space at the right of the rating:

If picking the colored version from the corresponding stats page I don't think, that it would need additional explication, would it?

Perhaps shown light and pale, it shouldn't really interfere with other information, should it?

Wow. Thanks. Very late here. But it looks good.

This is great, thank you so much! I tested only the daily chess rating on one club, and it works well.
Is this going to be available for private clubs where you are not a member as well?
Here is a screenshot from a set of the two thematic matches with the 1 day per move club:

If I try to check these matches on their list of upcoming events, I only see the one which fits with my rating:

As far as I can see, this list should show all their events independent from my rating (as the previous version does), shouldn't it?
Bye the way: For all shown matches the new presentation is still less complete, informative and useful than the previous one. What about re-introducing the usual presentation for each of the events in the newly designed "all in" structure: This would at least preserve the level of information about each of these events.
Both "new" elements, the big match type icon and the "View" button, add any functionality. The match type is shown a second time and matches can be "viewed" by clicking on the match name, while the now missing information is the relevant one (avatars of both clubs, min./max. number of players and actual situation of match registration).
I posted in another forum about that.
When I look at Scotland's matches our match between Scotland and Obsessive Chess Disorder is missing. And I’m not under 1700 rated. So perhaps that’s why. But I still have to organise it and should be able to see it.

Clubs will have the option to have a private member list. If member list is public it will be available.
That's funny: Current events are now ranked in pages with ascending start dates each. Screenshot shows some first matches. They have started on May 14 (top) to Sept. 6 (bottom) followed by a second page from Oct. 16 (2022, top) to May 7 (2023, bottom). Would be great to know, what's intended with this update:

Still thinking, that showing current events (as in the previous club design) in the descending order of their completion would be a proven and still better presentation.

I think, I also saw that. I didn't know it was due to rating, I actually thought it was because I was an admin of the opposing team. https://www.chess.com/clubs/forum/view/clubs-redesign-early-release?page=52&newCommentCount=1#comment-94856233
Workflow to create two or three league matches with the following parameters:
- Match name: 1WL 2023 U1600-12 R9
- max. rating: 1600
- min. players: 11
- max. players: 12
- start date: Sept. 24
- start time: 09:00 (if CEST)
A with the previous club design (18 steps for two challenges / 25 steps if three)
- Open "chess.com/clubs/match_challenge"
- Fill in challenging club
- Fill in challenged club
- Add "1WL ... R9" to the match name
- Fill in max. rating
- Fill in min. players
- Fill in max. players
- Select start date
- Fill in start time
- Create challenge
- Verify parameters
For the second challenge
- Step back to previous page
- Modify challenging club
- Modify challenged club
- Add "1WL ... R9" to the match name
- Select start date
- Create challenge
- Verify parameters
B with the modified club design (30 steps for two matches / 45 steps if three)
- Go to opponents start page
- Click Challenge button
- Select Daily match
- Click Challenge button
- Fill in challenging club
- Add "1WL ... R9" to the match name
- Type names of challenging and challenged club
- Fill in max. rating
- Fill in min. players
- Fill in max. players
- Select start date
- Fill in start time
- Unselect auto-start
- Create challenge
- Verify parameters
For the second challenge: Start from scratch.
Could someone please explain the advantage of these additional steps (selecting daily match, confirmation of selection, filling in club names, unselecting auto-start) in the new challenging procedure to us? What exactly is the advantage of suppressing access to a previous challenge and its parameters?
I think somebody wrote in this forum on the difficulty of finding vote chess games.
I wrote in another forum https://www.chess.com/clubs/forum/view/ridiculous-bug-in-new-club-interface that there's a filter on "Past Events" so you can choose to see Vote Chess games only (completed ones), but there's no similar filter on "Current Events" which would allow seeing running Vote Chess games only. Can such a filter be added?

Current Vote Chess games are not really the same as Current Team Matches, or other running events. Because players can still join running Vote Chess games. They only get interesting in the middle game anyway, so I expect a lot of people would want to find running Vote Chess games.
Running Team Matches are not really interesting for most players, only admins really would want to look at that, and even then leagues normally track them explicitly.
So this filter would help a lot with restoring the simple access we used to have in the old design to running vote chess.
Addendum to comment #864: Five days ago I've posted in comment #750 an example from another competition. I had to create 12 challenges with same parameters.
Matches had 2 parameters less than this week's example: With the previous design there was a total of 86 steps (9 steps for the first challenge and 7 for all following ones). With the modified design this would have been 156 steps (12 times 13 steps).
Would be great, if we could come back to the the previous situation, wouldn't it?
I also want to add that the challenge page/hub loads very slowly. There's at least two, maybe three redirections which prevents from going back easily either to the team page or the challenge homepage. And and adds extra time when creating a challenge.
It's twelve days now since I've posted a first screenshot from a fictive open challenge (in comment #579). Last Friday this has created confusion for several club admins. Seven days later nothing has changed:

What's the problem to fix this? Like to remind comment #673 about several other – all still unfixed (!) – points concerning match challenges.

Yes, please disable the join button if I do not qualify for a match. It gets confusing.
