Shirov beats Leko and Loek Van Wely defeated Nigel Short in the A Section. All other A games were drawn. Anand,Carlsen and Kramnik early favorites were all held to draws today.

Did Van Wely make it look smooth or did Short just play that badly?  Unfortunately for Van Wely he dropped back to even score after losing to Nakamura.  Round 2 is not finished yet at this moment.

After two rounds, Shirov holds the sole lead, but he has yet to face Karjakin, Nakamura, or the big boys, Anand, Kramnik and Carlsen.

Young Ray Robson is fast making a name for himself in the C group!
