Hi! A few days ago I defeated a 1600 elo player(Advance player) with the King's Gambit, this gambit Is a very risky but offensive gambit. So you should try it. In fact this Is my favourite gambit

I guess your opponent didn’t know how to play the King’s Gambit. 3…Bc5 is nit the best move. There are only two good responses for Black if they don’t want to play from a positional disadvantage: 3…g5 or 2…d5. Both lead to interesting complications. I usually play g5.

For example: 1.e4 e5 2.f4 exf4 3.Nf3 g5, and here White can choose between several lines: h4, Bc4, or d4. If you play Bc4, the line might continue like this: Bc4 g4 0-0 (yes, you leave your knight hanging for a huge initiative) gxf3 Qxf3. Notice how the queen, rook, and bishop are all pointing at the f7 square.

If Black doesn’t know how to handle this, they can lose quickly. Even if they do, it can be really tricky. At some point, Black usually has to give back some material (if White plays properly) in order to keep the position equal.

I was thinking the same thing. How does this work?
