Custom Games

You see, I have noticed that in normal Chess, you can not make custom games. What I mean by that, is that you can't put pieces in special positions. If you have played Four Player Chess, and made a custom game, you know what I mean. It would be very cool to have something like that for normal Chess. 

Personally, I believe the amount of customization on Chess.com is lacking. Being able to make custom games, as well as custom puzzles, which you can post, would be really interesting. 

You can post custom boards! In the little icons at the top of the comment box, select the one that looks like a chess board, and it will let you insert a game, diagram, or puzzle. Like this:

I know, but I mean like actual custom games, with custom situations. Such as you could challenge your friend to a game, which has been set up in a unique position.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It would be cool!

Personally, I am surprised they have added it to four player chess and not normal chess!

Just at a casual glance, the Four Player Chess section stylistically looks quite different from the rest of the site, so I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the lead team has kind of been doing their own thing. But yeah, it doesn't make a lot of sense.

You can do that for Daily chess, you just change the Setup to  Custom FEN or Book Opening, if you have a specific opening you want to play, all under Custom Setup on the website.

You can do something similar under Custom on the Android app as well.

Not just a specific opening, like you could play out a certain game against your friend! Or change all the pieces around! Or have a board entirely of queens and one king....

You should be able to do that with a Custom FEN. 

I do not see anything called Custom FEN. How do you make custom games on PC? That is, if FEN is an Android exclusive feature.

im in a training program that uses chess.com and this feature would be extremely useful. Thanks!

No, it is available for Daily on the website. You'll need a FEN string to use, but you can get that by setting up your chosen position on an analysis board.

It's not available in Live. For training a Live Analysis Board might be useful. https://support.chess.com/article/606-how-do-i-use-the-live-analysis-board

Funny thing, the link for a new game in Daily doesn't actually use a daily time setting for the default, so I had to change it manually to see the board setup options.

The live analysis board won't work. We play games against each other from set training positions. 

Go to custom game and then load FEN that's it!

I don't mean that. What I mean is something like they have in Four Player Chess, where you can place pieces and such in certain places, without having to load FEN!
