Custom position: how to switch from 4 player mode back to 2 player???

How do I switch back to 2 player mode in the custom position?  Where to click?  I want to set up my own 2 player variant, but it only shows me FFA or teams.  I know it must be possible somehow, but I'm just missing it. Pls help.

scroll down until you see some switches. go to the switches that say "dead", and turn off the ones corresponding to blue and green for 2p.

Or start editing some 2 player variant, e.g. Standard

Presets -> "2 Player" or "Empty 8x8"

empty 8×8 didnt fix anything.they just clear the board.They even dont turn off the rules lol

Yeah, editing the chessboard might sometimes be quite frustrating
