CVC r/Place (Ends Jan 2)

r/Place is a project on Reddit where every user collaborates to draw on a giant mural. The twist is that each user can only colour 1 pixel every 5 minutes, and during that cooldown, another user could come along and cover what was drawn.

So let's celebrate New Years by doing that with a 14x14 chess board.

The 14x14 board starts off empty, in case you were wondering. No corners either.

Since we can't all modify a custom position at the same time, to "colour in a pixel," use the comment section to request the change. If a piece or brick is placed/removed, specify the coordinates.

Rules:

You can only change one thing every 10 minutes. (Honor system, guys)

You are allowed to cover/replace/undo what another user did.
Alliances are allowed.
Board size cannot be changed (but you can place bricks).
Regicide cannot be turned off, and Taboo cannot be turned on.
If you request for King Of The Hill to be turned on, you cannot specify where to put a hill square in the same comment.
You can only add/remove 1 promotion option at a time.
Replacing a piece does not count as 2 moves -- to replace a piece, simply request for a different piece to be placed on the coordinates.
You cannot attempt to cheese the "no changing board size" rule by turning on corners to make it a 4PC board.
No offensive symbols, words, etc.

Everything else is allowed! Yes, this includes PGN hacks.

This event will end in 84 hours!

Once the time is up, I'll sort through the request and paint out the final position, which will be uploaded onto this thread.

Update: btw, in case people start making this mistake, when you place a piece, you MUST specify what colour!

what does regicide even meen?

You don't know if you're in check.

The main reason I'm keeping it on is that there are gamerules that incorporate regicide (Fog and Duck), so saying "turn on regicide" basically wastes a turn.

There aren't these 3x3 squares of bricks in corners like in the 4PC setup

There are 2 types of 14x14 boards. there's the plain 14x14 (XXL Chess) and there's the 4PC board, which is the plain 14x14 board, but takes out 9 squares in each corner. I've disallowed change between the two because it allows you to cover 36 squares in one turn, which is unfair to others having to change the position 1 square at a time.
