DGT + Mac

Hello,

I would like to purchase a DGT chessboard USB/Bluetooth. Does the chessboard work properly with Mac Catalina (10.15.6)?

Thanks

I use the DGT board on my Mac. But I installed as a second Operation System Windows 10 on my Mac. If you play online on playchess.com from chessbase with your DGT it works fine under Windows and Mac with any browser like Fierefox for example. If you use the DGT with chess.com on the MAc you will notice a delay after each move. Also the castle is not recognized. The problem was reported yet. In the meantime, if you start Windows 10 on your Mac the DGT works fine with chess.com. Use the option "Live chess" because under "Play Beta" it does not work 100 % yet. Also to use the "voice extenstion" from chess.com you need to use the browser Chrome because the extension is only available for Chrome in the moment.

Which program to emulate Windows do you suggest to me?

ento - I know that two emulators on the market but it is better to install a real Windows 10 ! It is faster and you will not have any problem. Windows 10 can be found online sometimes called a mirrow. The instruction how two do everything can be found under Apple I guess also in italian language.

Install Windows 10 on your Mac with Boot Camp Assistant

It is easy: you divide your hard disk (partition) in two sector's. One for Mac OS and the other one for Windows 10. After all you can turn on and run your computer under Mac OS or Windows. You can find also instruction under youtube videos. The good thing of a Mac is that you can have both a Mac and a Windows 10 !

On an iMac you can simply divide the hard disk by 50:50. On MacBook Air you have a smaller hard disk. But it is also posiible only Windows 10 needs a minimum of space on you hard disk so you maybe have to reduce your partition space for Mac OS on a minimum to have enough space for Windows 10. I had to try it 3 times I mean I had to adjust the space (partition) for each side 3 times otherwise you get the note: Not enough space for Windows 10

I managed to get the Google Chrome / Chess.com Voice Commentary to work on my Windows Laptop but although the board works on my MacBook, there's no commentary? any suggestions, anyone have this working on a Mac?   (Running macOS Catalina)   Just saves having to look at the screen if moves are announced, except for the occasional glance at the clock.

Ok, it works great in Windows. In Mac I notice a lot of latency. Is there a way to fix that? Just contacted DGT Support, and they suggested to uninstall end install again. It doesn't work, I think.
