Diamond Swords or Tridents

Which do you prefer more? Diamond swords or tridents? Think about your style of PVP, the enchantments available to the weapon, and obtainability of the item.

I like tridents when I'm in creative mode to have some fun with the riptide enchantment. But when doing PVP in survival, I like diamond swords.

I agree. Tridents are more fun in creative, but diamond swords are more useful unless you're terrible at close combat.

It's about diamond swords vs tridents

i like diamond sword cause you have to pick it up after you throw the trident

You know attack speed matters too, right? diamond sword has higher damage per second.

trident: ranged and melee weapon, has riptide enchant (faster water travel)

diamond sword: higher damage per second, has multiple good enchantments available, melee combat weapon

Unfortunately diamond is now useless because of netherite and the nether update
