if disconnections were chess.com's fault then every single person on the website would be disconnected at once. maybe they can have an algorithm to refund ratings to everyone playing games when a server restart or a site shutdown happens, but expecting them to go through every disconnection individually is asking for too much, mainly because there's so many members but also because it's more likely to be your internet connection at fault
