Division of labour

Perhaps we could discuss the division of our work here, before creating the topics? Here is my suggestion:

- 5.Nxf7,6.Kxf2, 7.Kg1/other moves

- 5.Nxf7,6.Kxf2, 7.Ke3

- 5.Nxf7,6.Kf1, white doesn't play d6

- 5.Nxf7,6.Kf1, 9.d6 cxd6

- 5.Nxf7,6,Kf1, 9.d6 Qxd6 10.other moves than Nf7

- 5.Nxf7,6,Kf1, 9.d6 Qxd6 10.Nf7

- 5.Bxf7+, 6.Bb3

- 5.Bxf7+, 6.Bd5

- 5.d4

Yes, this looks just about perfect. One suggestion, though. Can we have seperate subforums (like on the main chess.com forum General, Endgame Study, More Puzzles, Off-topic, etc)? That seems like it would be best so we could have topics for each line. Also, a general subforum would be good.

I don't think I can create sub-forums, but how exactly are they diffrent from normal forums? Also, what is a sticky forum?

And finally, can I give you the ability to create forums too? (or do you already have that?)

I think I can make everybody super-admin. I don't know exactly what that entails, but, if nobody minds, I'd like to do that.

You probably understand the group abilities and forums more than I do so I will defer my judgement to you.

I would be fine with being a super-admin, but it doesn't matter to me. I wonder if there's any way to search chess.com for practitioners of the Traxler so we can recruit them?

This is my first administratorship (it's also the first time I used that word). I'll make everybody super-admin, so I can go to bed without stalling the progress of the discussion. I'm curious what I'll find tomorrow.

Well, I think the best way is to start with the people who commented on the original Traxler thread.

I'll be going to bed within the next hour or so. I'll be here tomorrow until around noon eastern time, and then I'll be on a trip for a week. I think I'll be stalling the group a bit too... Sorry about that. It will be very interesting to see what goes on a week from now!

One thing I noticed. When I went to Game Explorer: "Platinum Members get unlimited access to all games, including those of other Chess.com members". I suppose there are no Platinum Members among us, though.

If everybody accepts the division of labour I proposed, I guess what we have to do now is summarise the state of the discussion for each of the individual lines in the original forum and post that summary as the first item of the topic. I'll post a summary of the 5.Nxf7,6.Kxf2, 7.Ke3 lines in a few minutes (after cleaning up my computer file). Maybe somebody else can start on another topic?

All right, I guess I'll start on Kg1 (hopefully I can finish before I have to go). Shall we title them "5.Nxf7 6.Kxf2 7.Kg1 Official Discussion" or does anyone have a better idea?

mathijs, I just noticed you put everything in a diagram. However, our lines will frequently need updating, and I don't think you can edit a diagram. Perhaps it would be more versatile to simply type the lines?

I did that because it was simpler for me to put it in a diagram from my computer file. However, I don't think it should be a problem. Any updates will be made in the new posts, I think.

mathijs, I thought it would be better for people who come into the threads later if everything was in one place. Maybe the diagrams could show our initial variation and the extra lines would be typed up, and if the lines change drastically the diagram can be re-edited.
