Team Bulgaria would like to play in Division 1, based on our results in the previous season and our results in the past 3 months. Also we won't have problem to comply the standard requirement of at least 12 people per match.
Best of luck to all the teams, Stefan

Team Spain Live accepts Bulgaria in Div 1 and raise up a suggestion... due to this, wouldn't it be easier to just have 1 Division with all teams in it?

Yes, seems right idea.
One division divide in two groups and then semifinals e final.
Not bad as idea.
1st problem: 2 teams are not really capable of Div.1 requests
2nd question: We don't really need groups and playoffs even if there is more teams in Div.1 than initially planned, total number of teams is still fairly low
Well, we have two choices, to put all the ten teams into a single Division for a round robin tournament, or to run also this season in the Swiss format. I personally would prefer a Swiss tournament, because it reduces the matches strong vs. weak teams and it is shorter (say 5 turns vs. 9 turns). So, I propose to run Season 4 of the LCML in the Swiss format, all teams together.
I will wait for your feedback until May 30th, then I will take a decision in order to start the new season by the 1st of June.
Thank you for your opinion.
.
- pairings will be published at the beginning of each round (there will be no pre-known calendar)
- there will be 3 matches per round (art. 6 of the RoP decades)
- minimum number of players will be 10; showing less will bring to a loss by forfeit
- standings will be made giving 2 points for a win in rapid format and 1 point for a win in each of the two blitz matches

Dear all, here is the composition of the two Divisions in Season 4 of the LCML. The allocation has been made according to Point 1 of the Rules of Play. AP = Average Players per match shown in LCML and LCEL matches since 1 year (from 15.5.2022 to 14.5.2023).
According to Point 1 of the Rules of Play,
"Any team of the lower Division can ask the Tournament Director (TD) to be included in the upper division, provided they commit to comply with the standard requirement of at least 12 players per match. This request must be done publicly, before the opening day of the season. The request is accepted if at least half of the teams of the upper Division agree within 3 days from the date of request."
The deadline for asking a possible shift is 26 May 2023 (1 week from now).
The calendar of the matches will be published within the last week of May.
