Don't trust notifications for your games

Again, in one of my games somebody had moved and I did not see any notification.

Just mentioning. I keep a list of my games.

I have a chess folder on my desktop, where I keep links to games and files for analysis. I generally rely on notifications, but will check my games every few days to be sure I haven't missed a notification.

It would be helpful if mods sent a pm to people when they are issued with a time warning, but I think we should stop short of making it a requirement, as the responsibility to move on time must always lie with the player.

I usually try to log-on once a day, and scroll down to check all my games. (But I recently had a power outage which put me off-line for almost two days. Some storms in Ohio knocked over some trees into power lines).

I agree with Tug. It's good to send notices to an absent player. But the onus is for players to check their own games.

Today, I again noticed one case where I didn't get a notification after a new message in a topic that I was following.

The notifications are messed up. Old notifications don't disappear. And I did not get a notification for one particular message.
