EIRC Grand Prix 2023

@Tricky_Dicky
Hello Richard,
many thanks for the nice table for this competition!!!
In my opinion, however, a small mistake has crept in: Schachfreunde Sachsen won the final match against Yorkshire Terriers with 12:10, not lost.
Best regards and have a nice weekend, Christoph

Hi @hohes_cs. You are correct that the match score ended 12-10 in favour of Schachfreunde Sachsen. However board #6 was originally 2-0 but after adjustment for Fair Play closure the board score is reversed and the match score is changed to 10-12.
These are the competition rules that all FPV and abuse closures are reversed.

Hello Richard,
that is correct for a running game. However, once the team match is over, the result remains the same. It's no different in other sports: match over - result is finalised. How else is a tournament, especially one with several rounds, supposed to be played properly? Are the results corrected until the end of the round? Or until the end of the tournament? Or at the end of the calendar year? It is certainly possible to set an individual limit within a tournament. However, this should then also be written in the rules for this tournament. Unfortunately, I can't find anything about this. Do you know where it is written? Otherwise I think that the result from Chess.com should be official.
I am a big supporter of Fair Play!!! I hate cheating!!! There will certainly be a reason for this player's ban. But whether it's related to this team match, we don't know and probably never will.
That's my opinion, but maybe Bernd (@Tournamentix) has something to say about it! That would make me very happy. Officially, I object to the current scoring.
Greetings cs

Those are the chess.com rules and not the rules of the competition which is still in progress. The final round robin group is still active.

Where is this rule written down? I can't find anything. Please tell me where it is written!
I think Bernd (@Tournamentix) as tournament director will make a decision.

The tables have been re-posted using the Chess.com published scores in line with the Tournament Directors acceptance of Chess.com board adjustment policy.
For the ongoing league, this means that any match that was completed before a Fair Play closure will not hve any score adjustment and for those matches still in progress Fair Play closures will have board scores adjusted by Chess.com.
EIRC Grand Prix 2023 is played between 16 clubs qualifying from national championships (United Kingdom/Ireland, Italy, Slovakia and Germany) and from the EIRC OPEN 2022.
Group stage (four groups of four clubs each) will be played on 10+ boards with rounds starting on January 22, February 26 and March 26. Group winners will advance to a final round and qualify for the EIRC Grand Prix 2024.
