Hm, the match just started and I see at least 7 bans in team Germany.

Very similar picture was in WL2012 Russia-Armenia...

If anyone does not want to see such a picture, they can ban all cheaters from their group reporting to chess.com support.

It turns out that a big portion of work of team Armenia admins is to fight against cheaters of some opponents.

From our side, we ban and report our own cheaters as well, we always advertise in team Armenia that the use of engine is prohibited and whenewer we admit anyone to team Armenia we toroughly check the newcomers and accept only if we see honest people applying.

And to Adriano, yes in some sense we are cleaning chess.com forests from cheaters, and I think everyone should be happy of that. We hate to see our players playing against cheaters and we take appropriate action.

And we call all admins of all groups to cooperate with us to clean chess.com from this cancer (cheaters).

Hello! The following members of Team Russia have been removed from the EL R6 ARMENIA-RUSSIA match before locking the roster                                 1.http://www.chess.com/members/view/v_m7                                                  2.http://www.chess.com/members/view/spartak9                                            3.http://www.chess.com/members/view/vilchev                                     4.http://www.chess.com/members/view/hip4yes                                     5.http://www.chess.com/members/view/sergant500                                 6.http://www.chess.com/members/view/SKoorkoff

@MoriMemento they all have high timeout ratio... as far as I know it's allowed to remove players with timeout percentage more than 25%

Avatar of MoriMemento

There is no such a rule in Euro League to remove players with TIMEOUTS.

Avatar of MoriMemento

"Avoid delete players from their spots in the matches, except obviously banned players, closed accounts, or detected multi-team players or cheaters".   This is what said in Euro League rules. Nothing said about timeouts 25% and more.

Avatar of adriano81

World League does instead, so we need clarification from Johan on this matter

Avatar of johanpalmaer

There're no rules regarding time-outing players in the European League.
It was originally proposed when we started the preparations for EL2013, but rejected by the audience by various reasons.

So in the pure EL-games you're not allowed to remove time-outing players.
(This not concerns those games that you setup according to the WL-rules which are counted into EL).

Yes,I was one of the members who actually proposed to have something about timeout players, nobody support my suggestion. This EL R6 match is pure EL match, our WL match against Russia will be in August. I sent them message about playing only one game in August which will caunt also EL match. They told me they going to think about that but didn't respond afterward.

Johan we think whatever the final score will be for this EL R6 match +12 point in favor of Team Armenia!

Avatar of adriano81

@MoriMemento I must say there is no indication of penalty in such cases instead... so we need to raise this question again if needed

I assume we can only warn Team Russia, not more

Avatar of Mkhitar

@adriano81, there was clear rule not to withdraw any player from the rosters, if it will be no penalty for the breaking the rule, there is no meaning of any rule here.

The rules must be obeyed and the violators should get the penalty. The +12 suggested by MoriMemento should be considered.

I don't think its fair to my team and my team members when Team Russia intentionally removed 6 people to gain better final score at the end when there is no such a rule about removing timeout players. We could remove timeout players but we didnt because  we follow the rules of Euro League and if I have any questions  I always talk to Johan in advance!

Avatar of MoriMemento

There is no such a  thing to discussed in advance for this matter. It took  me a while after match started  to discover that Team Russia removed 6 people before locking the roster.

Avatar of Mkhitar

Johan, could you please make some suggestion about this matter?

Avatar of ArsenDrambyan

Guys,

Exactly for that same reason MoriMemento had explicitly suggested to have that kind of rule, but it was not accepted. And I perfectly agree to a note in this thread that a rule is not a rule if there are no means (i.e. penalties) to enforce them. :)

As a matter of fact, even in that case rules still have some strength of recommendations, but not more than that...

The only thing that is remaining to say is: rules are made to break them.

There WAS rule not to withdraw anyone and that rule was broken. And the rule was broken by the one of strongest team, which is surprising.

Avatar of MoriMemento

Step4More ,the rules of Euro League 2013 clearly say in what circumstances the teams are allowed to remove players from the roster. Therefore, there is nothing to discuss about this issue  in advance.Removing timeout players is breaking the rules of this tournament!

Avatar of MoriMemento

We locked the roster first, then Team Russia locked the roster, there is no way we could tell about Team Russia removed timeout players before the match started.
