I think both Teams should have an agreement if they want to count One game for both leagues. And of course it seems unfair if one Team want to play two separate games and other want to play just one.... Especially if this one game have started when calendar for both Leagues been declared, it's seems ridiculous to name it just World League game and then declare this game for both Leagues with no agreement... some kind of misinterpretation happens here (((
The background to the current rules are that games that was started were counted both in WL and EL. So the teams could start an EL-game and that was counted as a WL-game and vice versa. No negotiations were needed between the teams, but they were allowed to - as agreed - to setup separate matches that replaced. In WL2012 the WL removed this transparent opportunity, but we keept the rule and continued count WL-games in EL.
The game names itself doesn't matter so much in EL. But the best - of course - is to apply proper names, since that makes it easier to collect games, and make us avoid missunderstandings etc. No penalties to teams that appying wrong game names.
Johan, the problem is that now we have situation where answer should be YES or NO... Team A doesn't want to count WL game for EL game and want to play separate game, but instead Team B doesn't want to play second game within EL tournament, but they didn't agree on this with Team A...
