Maybe one of the magnificent seven is actually a Calderdale player. I'm beginning to feel better already. Darwin, John and Mathew can organise 1,2&3(unless we can get Phil, then it would be 2,3&4) Carry on like this I will be third reserve!

Well I'm either captain or vice-captain. I'm hoping for a clean sweep, defend the two we won last year, improve in the Examiner and get a very strong team together for the Watkinson.
My own hope would be Home team: Martyn Hamer, Darwin Ursal, Mathew Parsons, Peter Mulleady, John Morgan and Dave Patrick.
Away team: Darwin Ursal, Mathew Parsons, Phil Watson, Dennis Breen, John Morgan and Dave Patrick.
These names are taken from the Calderdale list(clubs) on chessnuts, when the full Calderdale League list is published, there should be more candidates. I think the majority of those mentioned won't wish to play, but ever the optimist!!!
It would seem Calderdale are entering a team in the Watkinson(Huddersfield League) next season. I fear I will end up captain. I have looked at last year's grading list and found I ranked thirteenth(we all have our cross to bare). I thought 'great,captain should be board six'.
On further inspection I found of the12 disciples, seven played for Huddersfield, two played in Leeds on Wednesdays, one played Saturday chess(though may be a possible), one is from Lancashire, which leaves a maybe.
So it looks like board 1 or 2 for me. Darwin had a good season, so with luck when the new list comes out maybe three.
