could any member of EL admin team inform me of what is happening with Team Kazakhstan matches for January

Hi rampantlou, due to the current situation in Kazakhstan it is of course recommended to easily agree with them on moving the January matches with them to a later point in the year.
so it is ok that Team Scotland cancel January match with Team Kazakhstan
match has been cancelled till further information is available
The European League has always been very flexible about the schedule anyway.
Teams can not play or postpone matches with Team Russia and Belarus.
Of course Team Ukraine can not play or postpone their matches.

They have not answered anyone's challenge.
Stephen, chess.com automatically removes challenges when they have not been accepted for some number of days.
Of course there is still a possibility that the EL matches with their team can be played, for example their admins who used to be active and are inactive right now may be able to return to being active.

Well I've done as much as I'm prepared to do - sending a challenge and messaging all admins on the team's list. If Portugal wants to send a valid change to me fine but otherwise I expect my team to be awarded a bye for R2.
Stephen, please do not confuse WL with EL.
In EL, admins are very much expected to be able to organize the matches with each other.
The cases in which a match ends up unplayed at the end of the season are very rare in the EL.

But when a valid challenge has been sent and each admin contacted and even then there's no response, that team is in default - it's failed to do even the minimum.
This is not how the EL works.
In the EL, we have very capable admins, and we rely on them to be able to communicate and organize the matches with each other. Also and especially at times when there are things that do not go the smoothest possible way.
Many problems about organizing matches can be solved in the European League by communication among admins of the teams.
For problems that cannot be solved in such ways, you can post to this thread.
