In particular faster tournaments. I realise (with a little help from Frank, since it slipped my mind momentarily) that premium members at present cannot be auto-timed out even with the regular set day/move options. However, i have asked if non-premium members can somehow be timed out if they havent made a move in a specific no. of hours rather than days. At present, the only way i have to narrow down potential fast players wishing to join fast tournaments is by restricting their time/ per move, making sure its low, but slow players are still slipping through the net. I have also asked about the possibility of removing players before they have completed all games in the first round. As im sure you will agree, this is often too late, as the chances are they wouldnt have made it to second round, and they have slowed the first round down for everyone else. I also found out from another fast tournament i have arranged through chess.com, that if they know how the tournament rules sytem works they can play as slow as they like and finish their games at a point where they will automatically advance to next round. They say they will let me know.........in the meantime, any other suggestions?..........."}]}]}

 Here's my suggestion: Create a tournament with some special rules: If the players don't finish the first round in a certain time (a week, twoo weeks, etc.)  they'll be withdrawn. For example, if my opponent is the one making mininum moves, I'll also be withdrawn. That would be more exciting.It would be like Fear Factor chess. The opponents would have to agree to "meet" at certain time online so that they can finish their games.

I tried that with my 1st tournament, from start til finish. Problem is, no-one can be withdrawn until end of their games in round 1. Mind you, i suppose i could make the groupings smaller, so if time wasters do enter, i wouldnt have to wait so long to remove them. Hmmn, yes i think i need more restrictions to rule a lot of people out-there are so many entering tournaments just for the sake of it.

Yes, I think making groupings smaller is a good idea.

I can make times per move very low too. Premium members only perhaps. Not invite only though-it would be nice to see if any genuine fast players enter, i for one would want to play them again, so not limited to this group only. I was hoping chess.com would get back to me about being able to apply more rigid tournament rules for fast play..............no word as yet.
