{"type":"doc","content":[{"type":"paragraph","content":[{"type":"text","text":"I have recently enquired with chess.com about the possibility of tournament directors being facilitated with more tools to help certain tournaments run more smoothly. In particular faster tournaments. I realise (with a little help from Frank, since it slipped my mind momentarily) that premium members at present cannot be auto-timed out even with the regular set day/move options. However, i have asked if non-premium members can somehow be timed out if they havent made a move in a specific no. of hours rather than days. At present, the only way i have to narrow down potential fast players wishing to join fast tournaments is by restricting their time/ per move, making sure its low, but slow players are still slipping through the net. I have also asked about the possibility of removing players before they have completed all games in the first round. As im sure you will agree, this is often too late, as the chances are they wouldnt have made it to second round, and they have slowed the first round down for everyone else. I also found out from another fast tournament i have arranged through chess.com, that if they know how the tournament rules sytem works they can play as slow as they like and finish their games at a point where they will automatically advance to next round. They say they will let me know.........in the meantime, any other suggestions?..........."}]}]}
