I agree. There is certainly no good reason to fall victim to them in turn based chess. Maybe when you are inexperienced, or playing live chess with a low time control, then it is more understandable.

A trap against d4
thx a lot! I just take a huge advantage(the game is mine) after I apply this "trap agains d4"....look at my game against Kehi (1971)

This one is from the Petrov's Defence (Russian Game), Cozio (Lasker) Attack:
A trap against d4
Here are following moves of the game which is in post #7:
7. Ke2 fxg1 = N+ 8.Rxg1 Bg4+
This game is called 'Knight is stronger than Queen'

it's gonna improve my game for sure , the tricks are better and you cannot imagine that it cold happen so fast and in the blink of an eye , the king is already captured and the queen sacrifice for mate ...

Wow! Where did you get all of this stuff? its so cool!
I really learned a lot and hopefully could make used of them in a game...
hahaha!

May I contribute some games that have the semblance of opening traps. I somehow remember these from
sources I now forgot where and from whom.
Hey aldums,
that 1st trap you've shown. I've already seen that too. its one of the oldest famous game by Gioachino Greco (white) against an unknown roman player during 1619.... very cool!
I had seen these traps a long time ago. I just don't remember. But, anyway, these unfortunate situations could had been prevented if each move is given enough time and been analyzed thoroughly.
