So I have an idea for a new variant where there is a chess board that represents each square of the board but you move everything the same as normal. Got any feedback?

I meant a board for each square seperately not just one board

So how do you move your pieces?

You just move them like normal

this would be impossible to implement. the max the variant server can do is 14x14, but your variant requires 64x64, which is way too big.

If the server wants it can prob add a 64x64 board tho

you know what happened when variants released spell chess? you cannot expect them to make a random change like this unless there is a very good reason.

dude no. spell chess was made exclusively by the variant server admins

Spell chess was most likely programmed by variant server admins but the reason they added it and maybe the rules of spell chess came from a collaboration with another company.

the rules seem quite simple i disagree

So there is 8*8=64 boards, 32*64=2048 Pieces, and 64*64=4096 squares. Confusing and chaotic
